SAGLIN-GST-1060 + SAGLIN-GUVY-1060CS
Screen Cold Foil
Stamping Line
A stop-cylinder screen press feeding an inline cold foil & spot UV unit — the volume route to metallic decoration on premium packaging, with no engraved dies and no heat management.
One screen press.
One cold foil & spot UV unit. One line.
The SAGLIN Screen Cold Foil Stamping Line pairs the SAGLIN-GST-1060 full-automatic stop-cylinder screen press with the SAGLIN-GUVY-1060CS inline cold foil and spot UV unit. The screen press lays down the UV-curable adhesive pattern with ≤0.1 mm registration; the cold foil unit transfers metallic foil through that adhesive at room temperature, then applies spot UV varnish — all in one continuous B1 pass.
“Cold foil at room temperature, spot UV without an extra pass, and metallic decoration with no engraved dies — on a single screen-press line.”
Because cold foil bonds through UV adhesive rather than a heated die, artwork changes use screens and printing plates only — there is no die-making lead time and no heat-management overhead. The result is a flexible, fast-changeover finishing line for short and medium premium runs.
The line is the entry point into the SAGLIN finishing platform. Its modular splicing design means a hologram cast & cure module can be added later to upgrade to the full three-process line — without replacing the screen-press base.
Every line ships with electrical and pneumatic specifications adapted for the Russian and CIS markets (380V / 50Hz, EAC support). Installation, commissioning, and operator training are handled by our partner HD RUS LLC in the Moscow region.
Why converters choose this line
- Stop-cylinder screen press — ≤0.1 mm registration, up to 4,000 sheets/h
- Cold foil stamping at room temperature — no engraved dies
- Inline spot UV varnishing in the same pass
- Foil return & step function — saves foil, narrow-foil multi-up stamping
- Cold-air paper receiving prevents post-cure deformation
- Upgradeable to hologram cast & cure (ACS line) later
Two units, one continuous pass.
The line is built from two spliced units. Sheets feed from the screen press straight into the cold foil & spot UV unit — no manual transfer between processes.
Stop-Cylinder Screen Press
Classical stop-cylinder technology for high reliability, high precision, and low maintenance cost. Lays down the UV adhesive pattern and spot UV coating that the cold foil transfer relies on.
- Registration accuracy ≤0.1 mm
- Printing speed 500–4,000 sheets/h
- Max paper size 1060 × 900 mm
- Low noise, low maintenance, high automation
Cold Foil & Spot UV Unit
Inline cold foil stamping plus spot UV varnishing, with cold-air paper receiving and an IR drying array. Modular splicing design — compact structure, strong compatibility, easy maintenance on demand.
- Cold foil stamping + spot UV in one pass
- Foil return & step function (min gap 2–3 cm)
- Multiple narrow foils for different-effect stamping
- Cold-air paper receiving prevents deformation

Maximum speed depends on paper specification, UV varnish viscosity, cold foil adhesive, and transfer film. Cold foil requires paper of 128 g/m² or above. Under test conditions (128–150 g/m², working format ≤ 600 × 500 mm) sustained cold foil speed is around 1,000 sheets/h; spot UV and hologram processes reach higher rates. Specifications subject to continuous improvement.
What sets the line apart.
Engineered for high-volume premium packaging. Here is what differentiates it from generic cold foil machines in the same class.
Modular Splicing Design
Single machine or multi-module combination. Compact structure, strong compatibility. Add a hologram module later to upgrade to the three-process line.
Cold Foil at Press Speed
Foil transfer through UV-curable adhesive at room temperature. No engraved dies, no heat management — artwork changes use screens and plates only.
Foil Return & Step Function
Foil return and step movement achieve a minimum gap of 2–3 cm between stampings, and multiple narrow foils can run together — substantial foil savings on every job.
Cold-Air Paper Receiving
Cold air system prevents post-cure deformation of UV-varnished sheets at high stacking heights — clean, flat stacks straight off the line.
Mitsubishi PLC Control
Centralised PLC controller with color touchscreen HMI. Job memory for recurring artwork, one-key test run, all functional data displayed in real time.
Keyence Optical Detection
Front and pull-side gauges use Keyence (Japan) fiber optic detection. Photoelectric paper-presence detection — auto-deceleration on miss-feed.
Material Saving & Recyclable
Cold foil protects the print and can replace a separate gloss pass; the laser film is recyclable without treatment. More economical than composite lamination.
Schneider & Yaskawa Electrics
Schneider main electrical control gear, Yaskawa frequency converters. Stable system reliability with reduced maintenance over multi-shift production.
Where the line performs.
Designed for premium packaging segments where metallic decoration and high-gloss finishes drive shelf appeal. The line is widely used on paper and board, and on plastic sheet packaging.
Perfume & Skincare Boxes
Cold-foil metallic effects with spot UV gloss on luxury cosmetics packaging — the workhorse application for premium beauty converters, combining decoration with a protective UV layer in one pass.
Wine & Liquor Cartons
Metallic cold-foil decoration and spot gloss on wine and spirits cartons and labels. Fast changeover suits the short, frequent runs typical of premium beverage brands.
Luxury Cartons & Covers
Gift boxes, high-end retail cartons, food and confectionery decorative packaging, and premium publication covers. Also used on digital-product and toy packaging.
Need hologram security too? Upgrade the line.
Add a hologram cast & cure module to run cold foil, hologram, and spot UV on a single pass — the SAGLIN-GUVY-1060ACS line. Thanks to the modular splicing design, the screen-press base stays the same.
