SAGLIN-RZFD-TF · 6 CONFIGURATIONS
Twin-Handle
Shopping Bag Machine
One platform produces both twisted-rope and flat-handle shopping bags — replacing two separate machines and slashing capital expenditure for converters serving mixed retail markets. Six configurations from 120 to 550 mm bag width.
One machine. Two handle types.
Half the capital expenditure.
The SAGLIN-RZFD-TF series is built around a single commercial insight: most paper bag converters serving retail need both twisted-rope handle and flat-handle production capability, but cannot justify buying two separate machines for it. Every RZFD-TF machine integrates both processes onto one platform, with a 5–10 minute changeover between modes.
“For converters serving mixed retail — apparel, takeaway food, supermarket carriers — twin-handle capability is the difference between one capex line item and two.”
Six configurations cover the full retail bag spectrum. The flagship RZFD-330TF serves the mid-format shopping bag market at up to 150 bags/min (bag width 200–330 mm with handle). The 400–450 mm class — RZFD-400NTF, RZFD-450ATF, RZFD-450BTF, and RZFD-450NTF — covers standard and long-format carriers with cutting lengths up to 660 mm. At the top of the range, the RZFD-550NTF produces the largest retail carriers, up to 550 mm bag width. Every configuration runs twisted-rope and flat handle on one platform — without the floor space, operator, and maintenance overhead of two parallel machines.
Every RZFD-TF machine ships with electrical and pneumatic specifications adapted for the Russian market (380V / 50Hz, EAC support). Installation, commissioning, and operator training are handled by our partner HD RUS LLC in the Moscow region.

Two retail bag formats on one production platform.
Every RZFD-TF machine integrates twisted-rope handle and flat-handle production into a single platform. Operators switch between modes in 5–10 minutes using preset job memory — no toolchange, no rework, no parallel line.
Twisted-Rope Handle
Premium retail handle for supermarket carriers, apparel chains, and shopping centre bags. Twisted paper rope provides excellent load capacity and a recognisable mid-to-high-end retail look.
- Handle typeTwisted paper rope
- Patch length95 / 152 / 190 mm
- Patch pitch46 / 75 / 95 mm
- Rope diameterΦ3–5 mm
Flat Handle
High-volume flat handle for cosmetics, takeaway food, and gift packaging. Flat handle production runs faster than twisted rope and uses simpler glue application — ideal for high-frequency reorder accounts.
- Handle typeFlat paper handle
- Patch length152 / 190 mm
- Handle width12 mm
- Patch pitch78 / 82 mm
Mode changeover, not a rebuild.
Switching between twisted-rope and flat-handle production takes 5–10 minutes — handle module swap, single calibration check, restart. No engineer intervention. No production downtime beyond the changeover itself.
Compare all six configurations.
Verified bag-format specifications across the SAGLIN-RZFD-TF series. The RZFD-330TF is the volume choice — up to 150 bags/min on mid-format shopping bags makes it the default for converters entering the mixed-retail market. The remaining configurations extend the same twin-handle platform through wide and long formats up to 550 mm bag width.

The RZFD-330TF flagship runs up to 150 bags/min on mid-format shopping bags; the RZFD-450ATF runs up to 110 bags/min. All six configurations produce both twisted-rope and flat handle on one platform; bags can also be produced without handles, extending the size and paper range as shown above. Twisted-rope mode typically settles 10–15% below flat-handle mode at sustained speed. An inline flexographic printing unit is available as a factory-fit option. Per-model footprint drawings for the RZFD-450BTF, RZFD-400NTF, RZFD-450NTF, and RZFD-550NTF configurations are available on request. Specifications subject to continuous improvement.
Eight features built for two-shift production.
The RZFD-TF series is engineered for industrial use. Here is what differentiates the flagship from generic twin-handle machines in the same class.
Twin-Handle Module
Integrated twisted-rope and flat-handle stations on one machine bed. Mode switching via job memory recall — no manual reconfiguration required.
German LENZE Servo Throughout
LENZE servo motors on the handle-forming, perforation, transmission, and pasting stations. Consistent precision across every motion-controlled axis.
SICK Optical Detection
German SICK photoelectric eye correction with optical fiber tracking. Maintains print-bag registration at full speed — critical for branded retail packaging accounts.
Touchscreen Job Memory
Touchscreen HMI with point-mark function and job memory for recurring artwork. Multi-language operator panel (EN / RU / ZH) and recipe-based mode switching.
Φ1500 mm Roll Loading
Hydraulic loading support for Φ1500 mm paper rolls on Φ76 mm cores. Single-operator changeover, reduced operator strain, automatic constant tension during unwinding.
EPC Web Guide
Edge position control with constant-tension system for raw material unwinding. Reduces alignment time at changeover and minimises paper waste.
Eaton Main Electrical Gear
American Eaton main electrical contactors and breakers. Reliable performance under two-shift duty cycles, predictable maintenance intervals, global parts availability.
Optional Inline Flexo Printing
Factory-fit 2- or 4-color flexographic printing unit. Produces branded retail bags directly from the kraft roll — eliminating the post-print finishing step.
Replace two parallel lines with one twin-handle machine.
The traditional approach to mixed-handle retail bag production requires two dedicated machines — one for twisted-rope, one for flat handle — running in parallel. The capital, floor space, operator, and maintenance overhead of this approach is the single largest barrier to entry for new converters.
The RZFD-TF eliminates that barrier. One machine, one operator, one maintenance schedule — producing the full retail bag spectrum with a 5–10 minute mode changeover. For typical mid-volume converters, the savings represent the difference between a viable business case and one that doesn’t close.
Choosing one twin-handle machine over two single-handle lines frees factory floor for additional production capacity or warehousing, and halves the electrical and operator overhead.
Typical Capex Reduction
Buying one RZFD-TF instead of two single-handle machines typically saves 35–45% on combined equipment investment, before counting floor space, electrical infrastructure, and operator costs. Actual savings depend on your factory baseline and target output mix.
Where the RZFD-TF performs.
The RZFD-TF series is designed for retail-mix converters — those serving multiple end markets requiring different handle types from a single production line.
Supermarket & Apparel
The core target market — supermarket carriers requiring twisted-rope, plus apparel and takeaway bags requiring flat handle. The twin-handle capability lets one machine serve both account types without splitting production.
Restaurant & Fast-Food Bags
Quick-service restaurant bags often switch between premium twisted-rope (sit-down chains) and economy flat handle (fast-casual). One machine covers both account tiers — critical for converters serving multi-brand restaurant groups.
Brand Retail Bags
Cosmetics retail typically requires flat-handle bags for routine point-of-sale and twisted-rope for premium gift packaging. With an optional inline flexo unit, branded bags run directly from the kraft roll.
Built with global-brand components.
No compromise to lower the price point. German LENZE servo and motion control across every motion axis, with SICK optical tracking as standard.
